Yes, if you catch Cresselia before you find Darkrai that's fine. To find Darkrai, you need action replay. That will help you walk on water. Go to Full Moon Island and walk off the side. It will say Mystery Zone but keep walking. Soon you will reach a little island, it will say New Moon Island. There is a little grove of trees, go into it just like you caught Cresselia. Now you should see a big puddle of water and in the middle, a weird black like Pokémon. This Pokémon is Darkrai. You could always use the Jubilife City tweaking glitch to get Darkrai without Action Replay though or you could wait for the Nintendo event which will either give out Darkrai itself or the Member's Card.

To get Darkrai in Pokemon sky you need to go to 6 dungeons: Miracle Sea B3F, Crevice Cave Deep B2F, Mt. Travail 17F, Spacial Rift B14F, Mystifying Forest 13F. Defeat him in all these and in the last cave you defeat him he'll join. But before you start you must have the mysty part and the secret slab in your bag.. At the end of all of these islands, they give you some kind of musical instrument that helps recruit Pokemon (the item varies on types, so whatever type the Pokemon you battled is determines what item you get. This applies to everyone but Giratina. He has the rock drum). When you see a lengendary out of the blue, attack 3-5 times to defeat it. Defeat them too quick and they won't join.

no you have to beat the game then get manaphy to tell you about the marine resort. YOU DO NOT NEED TO EXPLORE MARINE RESORT JUST UNLOCK IT! also u need a mystery part of secret slab to see most legendaries including darkrai. I recommend going to miracle sea 3f its the quickest.

Well it depends which one you are in. If you are still doing the storyline, as in you're in Dark Crater, get to 15BF and you'll have to go through another 15 in Deep Dark Crater. If you have completed the storyline and want to recruit him, the easiest one is Miracle Sea, on 3BF (maybe higher but definitely under 10BF)
