The only real challenge with Sinister Woods is that you battle Team Meanies on the 13th floor. Three Pokemon against two puts you in an unfair situation - but remember that you can throw Stun and Sleep Seeds at them to slow things down. I advise that you take out Gengar first, as he is the biggest dissadvantage to you. No Pokemon you have so far is effective against Ghost-types. When Team Meanies is defeated, Metapod is rescued. You should make it out of Sinister Woods. If not, stock up on items and raise your team's level and try it again.

The only way of increasing the chances of recruiting (especialy legendary Pokemon) is by two ways:1) Increase your rescue rank by getting more rescue points2) Find an item called "Friend Bow" and equip it to your lead Pokemon. This is found near 30F(not 20F sorry) of Mt Faraway (a key is needed).3.) You can also equip yourself with a Friend Ribbon that increases your recruit chance by 30%.Another way to get the friend bow is by doing a special mission that enables you to rescue bulbasaur in 1bf tiny woods to get it (this must be the easiest mission!and it really works.) sorry that i cant put in the wondermail code now cuz i dont have it.

Ho-oh will probably join your team because the recruit rate will be above 100%. But you can't recruit Ho-oh until you've beaten it at least once.
