That depends on how the auditions are set up. A lot of parts don't require this. They have open calls, and anyone can come in and audition. Other auditions are closed, and only people who have been invited to audition may try for the part. Sometimes there are limited open calls for certain parts, and they tell you some of the things they are looking for, because they are going for a certain age, body type, or look. Some auditions will accept a videotape of your audition, and then call you in personally if you make the furst cut.

I personally lodge a complaint online and they took years to reply and it sounded like a automated reply with standard content.
