"One afternoon as Walt Disney was sitting on a park bench, watching his daughters enjoy the merry-go-round, a revelation came to him: Perhaps there could be a place where children andtheir parents could have fun together."
The whole point of Walt Disney's experience at Griffith Park was not that it was dirty, per se, but that it was the original inspiration for the whole concept of the 'Disney Park', or the new idea of a 'family' theme park, as opposed to the kiddy-themed carnivals that plagued the 40's.
