To get Empoleon there are 2 ways. First, start your game with a piplup. Then train it to a Lvl 36. Then it evolves into an Empoleon. The second way is to see an Empoleon in battle. Then go to Jubilife city. Find the trading station and set a Pokemon up for trade. Also say you want an Empoleon. Then later someone might trade with you! Hope this Helps!

∙ 15y agoThe way you get empoleon does not differ at all from game to game. All you have to do is level prinplup up to level 36 and then it will evolve. Empoleon is all that much more powerful now that he is water AND steel type.
