In diamond and pearl, heatran is in stark mountain when buck steals the heat stone or whatever it is and it gets really mad. you battle it (i suggest water and idk what else. i have the book somewhere, look for me on cheatcodes, I'll post it) and try to catch it. LEVEL 70 - i think... beat the elite four and champion first.

To find or catch Heatran, you need to have already finished the Stark Mountain quest which is available after you defeated the Sinnoh Elite Four and got the National Pokedex. Where Charon and the Team Galactic Grunts were captured by Looker and the International Police, Heatran will be there. Heatran will be level 50 and have he following moves: Metal Sound Crunch Scary Face Lava Plume
Can you capture Heatran?
Yes you can. After you beat the elite four and complete the sinnoh dex you'll be able to go to stark mountain which is a little far off from the survival area. Heatran will be at the end of the cave you will also need the HM rock climb to get to him and he will be at level 50 when you battle it. Hope that helps :)
