∙ 12y agoFirst you beat the elite four. Then you go to Cerulean Cave that is right next to nugget bridge(you need surf). If there is a guy blocking the way, that means you did not get atleast 60 pokemon caught. Once you caught 60 pokemon in your pokedex, talk to professor oak and he will give you the national dex. Go back and go into the cave. There will be a lot of mazes and super powerful pokemon so bring max repel. You will encouter Mewtwo at level 70 in between two rocks. Its moves are recover, safegaurd, phychic and swift. It is very powerful and will knock your pokemon out quick. And if you get its HP to low, it will start using recover. Try to put it to sleep of paralyze it. Now it is time to put your Master Ball to use(If you have it). If you don't wanna use it get atleast 30 ultra balls and 30 Dusk Balls and keep chucking them at it. Dark and bug type moves work the best so I recomend moves like bite, crunch, or a strong bug type move. Try to use dark types because phychic won't have any affect on it so it will have to use swift. To get through, you will need surf, strength, rock smash and waterfall(water fall is opptional unless you want to get items. Good Luck!

The only exception is Phione, which is Manaphy's offspring.
