For each Neopets account there is a time the guard falls asleep, and once you figure what the one for your account is you can go back once a week and paint your pet magma.

There is no Magma Paint Brush, as you just have to find your 10-minute window in which the Magma Pool Guard is sleeping so you can sneak past. On extremely rare occasions, the Guard will let you pass even while he is awake. Nobody knows how this is triggered.

Once you reach Moltara, click on the cave on the right side which will lead you to the other part of Moltara. The Magma Pool will be there, but there is a guard guarding it. The guard says that you have to be well-versed in the ways of Moltara, which means you have to read a number of Moltara books. The guard will let you in because of that.2.) You wait each hour (sometimes minutes) for the guard to be asleep. The guard is sleeping randomly and at different times for each user. Also, the time could be at a beginning of and hour, or the beginning of a minute. (for example: My Magma Pool time is 3:27pm.)The best thing you can do is refresh every hour and hope he's sleeping. And like I said, the time he is sleeping is totally random.
