Katniss realizes her love for both gale and peeta, but she loves them in different ways. She turns from this scared little girl just wanting to go home to "the mockingjay" that everyone looks up to for the rebelion of the districts against the Capitol. Instead of worring about herself getting throught the Games again, she is completley focused on keeping Peeta alive in the Quell. She's so wrapped up in keeping everyone she loves alive and trying to convence the districts and President Snow that her and Peeta are really in love, that she discards her own live in the process. In the end, she blames herself again for Peeta being captured by the Capitol and keeps her mind on rescuing him at all costs.
Peeta changes because he becomes stronger and more confident. He admitts that he likes Katniss, which is something he wouldn't have done at the beginning. The charater who changes the most though is Katniss, because at the beginning of the book, she has a very cynical world-view, meaning she believed everyone is motivated by self-interest, but she begins to change as soon as she volunteer to take Prim's place at the Reaping. An example of her change is; at the beginning of the book, she believes that Gale only likes her and wants to be with her because she makes a good hunting partner, and could make a good and decent living together, but by the end, she realizes that Gale wants to be with her because he truley loves her.
Katniss changes through out the book because she becomes more aware of everything in life. For example, in Catching Fire she tries her best to appreciate her mother more. She also becomes more stronger and faces hard situations that make her stronger
Peeta
There is a mental war between Katniss and President Snow. Snow keeps sending 'messages' to Katniss, in order to scare her. After what happened with the berries in the first book when Katniss and Peeta try to commit suicide, the Capitol is mad at them for showing them up. Throughout the trilogy, the Capitol is desperate to see Katniss and Peeta to death.
To make us worried and scared about the rabbits on their journey.
Peeta does not change that much in the hunger games. He just goes basically into depression after katniss tells him she was actingfor the games. But in the third book *SPOILER ALERT* he is hijaced by the capitol, and thinks Katniss is trying to kill him, so he hates her. Hope this helped(:
In the first book of the series, Katniss pretends to be in love with Peeta because she hopes to gain the support of sponsors, so she will be sent supplies while in the arena and will be more likely to win. By the end of the trilogy she is as much in love with him as he has always been with her. She starts falling in love with him during the 1st game. It flourishes in the second book and is tested in the 3rd book.
Katniss gets caught in a fire.
They do it throughout the book, at random times.
by raping his mother
I don't quite understand the question. You find out that all of the tributes besides for Peeta and Katniss are dead throughout the book.
Cinna was Katniss's stylist in the book and the movie.
And how does Mai change throughout the book?
It changes throughout the books. In the beginning she is angry, annoyed, and short-tempered. In the end she is paranoid, scared, and scarred. DRASTIC CHANGE!!!

Well hopefully yes. I'm not really sure but I think they will because Catching Fire shows Katniss and Peeta's relationship. You know at first , Katniss did it for the games but throughout the book, katniss realizes that she does love Peeta. So yes they will kiss. Let's just hope there will be more kissing scenes than the first one.
The book never says the full name of Katniss Everdeen.
Yes, Peeta loved Katniss the entire book. However, he was saddened at the end of the book because Katniss didn't really know if she loved him, after playing that she did.
