Harry and Voldemort find themselves facing each other for one final duel at the end of Deathly Hallows. Two curses only are cast.

Harry casts Expelliarmus, trying to disarm Voldemort at the same time Voldemort performs Avada Kedavra (the killing curse). The jets of light collide and ricochet in reverse directions. Voldemort is hit by his own killing curse and dies.

The answer is not this simple, though. Harry has to hunt down Horcruxes, visit places all over England, and read Voldemort's mind as part of his quest.

Obviously you don't want to read the book yourself.

Why did Voldemort kill cedric diggory?

Lord Voldemort didn't actually know or care who Cedric Diggory was. Cedric ended up in the graveyard by mistake and Voldemort didn't want to leave any loose ends, so ordered Wormtail to "kill the spare".

Did Lord Voldemort make Harry Potter a Horcrux when he was a baby?

One thing Voldemort cannot understand is love. Severus Snape has always loved Lily Evans (Potter at this point) and when he discovered that Voldemort was going to kill the Potter's which would include her he begged that she be spared. However, when Voldemort broke into the room Lily refused to step out of the way even though Voldemort, remembering Severus's begging, gave her the chance. Thus Lily gave up her life for her son's out of love. This provided Harry with protection and Voldemort, being so coldhearted, couldn't kill Harry and his spell was backfired. Voldemort's soul was so unstable when he killed Lily and James that the last segment of his soul fought for its own survival by adhering to the infant Harry, the only place it could survive. Voldemort dissolved when hit by the backfiring Avada Kedavra he cast upon Harry.

How did Harry Potter take away Lord Voldemort's powers when he was an infant?

Lord Voldemort gave Harry's mother, Lily, the choice to stand aside and live. She refused to do so and died protecting her child. This created a strong bond of magic that is not understood by many. Lily's love for her son created a powerful protection spell over him. When Lord Voldemort - a person who had delved into the darkest of magic to extend his life - tried to kill an innocent, defenceless baby he was unable to. The spell rebounded and hit Lord Voldemort. However, as Voldemort already had several Horcruxes he didn't die, he was just ripped from his body.

How does wotmtail die in Harry Potter 7?

He dies when Harry, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Dean, and Ollivander are in the Malfoy's basement. Wormtail goes down there to check on them and Harry says something like, "You better let me go, you owe me Wormtail." (He owes him because Harry saved his life in The Prisoner of Azkaban) After he opens the door, Wormtail's silver hand that Voldemort made for him (he got this in the Goblet of Fire from Voldemort since he cut off his hand in order for Voldemort to return.) starts strangling him. Voldemort does this while he is on his way to the Malfoys to kill Harry.

Did Harry Potter defeat Lord Voldemort?

It's kind of complicated because of the elder wand and stuff, but basically because harry was the true master of the elder wand which is what Voldermort was using, it would'nt kill him, so when Harry's expelliarmus and Voldermort's avada kedavra collided, the avada kedavra was sent back at Voldermort, and because he had no horcruxes left, he was gone for good

Who is opposed to the main character in Harry Potter?

Lord Voldemort. When Harry was a one year old, Lord Voldemort came to his house with a plan to kill him. Lord Voldemort accomplished killing Lilly and James, Harry's parents. But not Harry. When Voldemort tried to kill him with the killing curse, It did nothing but put that scar on his head, and a part of Voldemort's soul was now in that scar. That is why Voldemort was so weak, Because he gave his soul away without meaning too. And that made him a horcrux. A horcrux has parts of Voldemort's soul into it. And the only way Harry could kill him, is if he died as well.

Why does Harry Potter want to kill Lord Voldemort?

It was never about killing somebody, it was about stopping Lord Voldemort from killing more innocent people. Unfortunately, the only way to do that was to kill him. Harry wanted to stop Voldemort from hurting his friends, family and lots of innocents witches, wizards and muggles. Voldemort started a war, Harry ended it.

Does Harry Potter kill himself?

No, Voldemort used Avada Kedavra on him in a really weird way

Why did Lord Voldemort want to kill Harry's family?

Voldemort did not enter the Potter's home specifically to kill Lily and James. He was there to kill Harry due to the piece of the prophecy Snape had conveyed to him. However, Voldemort really did not care who he left dead in his wake. James tried to give Lily and Harry a chance of escape, so he was killed without a second thought. Lily stood between Voldemort and the infant Harry. Since Snape requested mercy on Lily's behalf, Voldemort gave her the choice of moving out of his way. When she refused him, he killed her anyway.

Why is Voldemort after harry?

when harry was young, voldemort and his followers (death eaters) were at large, they killd anyone who got in their way to power. lily and James (harry's parents) were aurors (dark wizard fighters), so voldemort went to godric's hollow (where they lived). voldemort firstly killed James then lily because she was protecting harry. after lily and James had been killed volemort turned to harry and tried to kill him but failed. this is how harry got his scar. voldemort became weak and had to use others to survive. when voldemomrt returned (firstly as part of prof. quirrell in book/film 1) he tried to kill harry again nut failed. throughout the books and films voldemort continues to try and kill harry. hope that helps

What age will Harry Potter die in Harry Potter?

He doesn't. A part of his soul does you see he is a horcrux and he is the only thing in the way of Voldemort's death so Harry lets Voldemort kill the horcrux and then comes back to life in order to save the wizarding world!

Is it true that by Harry Potter not resisting his death he protected all of Hogwarts in the same way that his mother did for him and if so is this actually stated in a book?

No, that is incorrect, if it was the case then it failed miserably as Hogwarts and a great number of people died. What the actual reason is as follows. By not fighting and allowing Voldemort to "kill" him, he actually let Voldemort kill the fragment of Voldemort's soul residing in Harry which was protected by Harry's blood. Remember Harry's blood was used in the Goblet of Fire to return Voldemort to a body. So by not resisting, Voldemort actually fulfilled part of the prophecy that was revealed to Harry in the Order of the Phoenix that "none can live whilst the other survives", something alluded to when Harry talked to Dumbledore straight after his "death". Since another part of Voldemort's soul had been destroyed, it made it easier to eventually kill Voldemort himself. Answer: Yes, after that Voldemort couldn't kill anyone; his spells (like the ones he cast on Neville) were weak.

Do harry's parents have a part in the movie the Deathly Hallows?

Yes. At the end. SPOILER! Because they guard him the way his patronus would when he brings them back with the Resurrection stone when he is going to Voldemort so Voldemort can kill the part of himself in Harry...so he will be mortal and can be killed.

What is the conclusion of Harry Potter 7?

The conclusion is very complicated, and I will try and make it as short as possible. The first thing you have to know is that Voldemort has The elder wand, and Harry has Draco Malfoy's wand. In the end, Harry, Ron and Hermione have to go to Hogwarts to find and destroy the two remaining horcruxes. In the meantime, Voldemort is summond to hogwarts by one of the death eaters who now work there. One of the horcruxes is Nagini, Voldemort's snake, who voldemort protects very powerfully. Under the invisibility cloak, Harry goes to where voldemort is (the shrieking shack) and tries to get his hands on Nagini. Voldemort thinks, that since Snape killed Dumbledore, Snape must be killed in order for the elder wand to work properly for Voldemort. So he sends Nagini upon Snape and then leaves. Harry tries to save snape, despite how much he hates him, and before snape dies, he gives Harry his memories. Harry watches them in the pensive in Dumbledore's office and he sees that Snape is actually good and that Dumbledore had asked him to kill him. Harry also learns that he (Harry) is a horcrux because accidently when Voldemort gave Harry his scar, he put part of his sould inside of Harry. Knowing that it is the only way to end the battle, Harry surrenders himself and Voldemort "kills" him. Really, Voldemort just killed the part of himslef that lived inside of Harry. Voldemort and Harry duel, but Harry knows something that Voldemort doesnt. ISnce Draco was supposed to kill dumbledore, possesor of the elder wand, the elder wand really belongs to Draco. But then, Harry defeated Draco, so HArry is the true owner of the elder wand. Voldemort is oblivious to this, and when he tries to kill Harry once and for all with the elder wand, the curse rebounds off of Harry and hit's Voldemort. And since all of his horcruxes are destroyed, (Neville cut of Nagini's neck) Voldemort dies.
