you can contact Thompson Center Arms and ask them, for the correct answer. In order to know the worth, you would have to know what model it is, what condition, its in, etc. The newer inline hunter models are alot cheaper than the older traditional side lock percussion or flintlock models in fine condition. The long Pennsylvania type rifles are a little higher. I'd say a normal percussion sidelock .45 ,cal good condition, anywhere from $300 to $400, but it could be slightly more or less. good luck
In the 1952 movie "The Big Sky," Dewey Martin's character, Jim Deakins, carries a .50-caliber Hawken rifle. This type of rifle is a traditional black powder firearm, commonly used during the 19th century, particularly among fur traders and mountain men. The film is set in the early 1800s, and the Hawken rifle reflects the historical accuracy of the time period.

The rifle symbolizes Pa's role as a provider and protector for his family in the challenging environment of the American frontier.
in 1810, an American gunsmith, John H. Hall, invented a breech-loading flintlock rifle that could be loaded quickly using a paper cartridge containing ball and powder.
For the 1990 movie Quigley Down Under, Tom Sellick's character Quigley used a 1874 Sharps Rifle, a custom 13-pound [6 kg] single-shot, with a 34-inch [86-cm] barrel as opposed to a standard length barrel of 30".
