How old is twilght sparkle from My Little Pony?

In episode 12, one of the young ponies have their "cutesenara" which is similar to the celebration in Mexico when a girl turns 15. Even though it is not the same, on a practical level, most kids don't know what they are good at until they start making their own independent decisions in their teens. Plus all of the Mane 6 live on their own in some fashion and are able to have jobs (as Pinkie Pie does). Fluttershy, Rarity, and Twilight Sparkle all live on their own. Pinkie Pie lives with the Pony's she's working for, and Applejack still lives on her family farm. By all this evidence, it appears that they are all in their 20's (human equivalent). Fluttershy is a year older than Pinkie Pie, but there is no other way to tell the exact age of each of the ponies, except for the fact that Pinkie Pie is younger than Fluttershy.

Also note that Twilight Sparkle is currently enrolled in Canterlot's University of Magic (Or something along those lines). There fore, it is reasonable to assume she is in her twenties. As is the other Mane 6 ponies. And since they all have similar body structures, we can also assume they are around the same age. Thusly, Fluttershy must be in her twenties. It can also be argued either way, but I think she is the oldest in the group. Because of what Fluttershy told Pinkie in "Griffon the Brush Off" 'I'm a year older than you.'

Lauren Faust has stated that none of the characters have defined ages, and probably never will, but as ponies age at a different rate that humans, Twilight could be 3-5 years old. If you would rather go by (human) maturity levels, then Twilight could be anywhere from 12-30, more or less.

No ages have been given for any of the characters on the show. We do know that Celestia was ruling Equestria 1000 years ago, but there is no indication of how long she was around before that.
