Only in Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness you can capture non-shadow pokemon. In the Poke Spot areas you can use Poke Snacks to lure wild pokemon which are not shadow pokemon, you can trade the rarer ones with Duking. He will tell you which ones he will trade for. One from each spot.
