Mystical Space Typhoon is targeting a face down trap card with a chainable effect - is the card automatically destroyed or can it activate its chain effect before being sent to the graveyard?

Basic chain mechanics say that spell speed 2 cards can chain to spell speed 2 cards. Mystical Space Typhoon will be chain link 1. Any appropriate spell speed 2 effect can be chained to it, including most traps. The chain will resolve in reverse order, in this case the targeted trap will resolve, then MST.

Can Obelisk the Tormentor be destroyed?
He can't be targeted, his summon can't be negated, nor can his summon be responded to. But Obelisk can be destroyed by battle, or non-targeting effects such as Dark Hole.

~ After reading this answer, it might help to take a look at some of the links in the "Related Links" section below for clarification. ~The effect of "Michizure" is fairly straightforward, but there are many ways to "miss the timing" to activate this card (more details below). "Michizure" cannot be activated when your monster is:- a token that was destroyed (since tokens cannot be sent to the Graveyard)- was banished (removed from play) instead of being sent to the Graveyard- tributed by your or your opponent's card effect- tributed for a Tribute Summon- used in a Synchro Summon- destroyed during the Damage Step by a card effect (i.e. Your opponent's "Red Dragon Archfiend" attacks your defense position monster and destroys it because of its effect)The reason why "Michizure" cannot be activated when your monster is tributed or used in a Sychro Summon is because you miss the timing (the subject of which can be very confusing at times). In a Tribute Summon or a Synchro Summon, the last action that took place was a new monster being summoned. The time to activate "Michizure" would have been the instant your monster(s) left the field and before you summoned the new one. No. Infernity Necromancer has to be on the field to use its effect to special summons other Infernity monsters from the graveyard. Monsters can only special summon themselves from the graveyard if they specifically say they can activate in the graveyard - Plaguespreader Zombie for example. Can you use call of the hunted on end of Anubis?
Yes. End of Anubis' effects are only applied while it is face-up on the field. It is only face-up on the field after Call of the Haunted resolves, by which time it is now too late to negate the effect, and it is no longer targeting a card in the graveyard anyway.
