The card "Graceful Charity" has a number of advantages and a few disadvantages.
Pros:
- It enables you to draw three cards.
- There are no costs to activate this card.
- There is the potential to put cards whose effects activate in the Graveyard there. Examples include "Destiny HERO - Malicious" and "Treeborn Frog".
- The discard effect is not considered a cost, so you will not miss the timing of a card's effect that activates when discarded. Examples include the "Dark World" monsters and "Night Assailant".
- Monsters sent to the Graveyard can be brought back with "Monster Reborn", "Call of the Haunted", "Monster Reincarnation", "Junk Synchron", etc.
Cons:
- There might be cards in your hand that you do not wish to discard.
- Like all spell cards, it can be potentially negated by an opponent's card.
- If your deck in low on cards, this will bring you three cards closer to running out.
- Unlike "Pot of Greed", there is no net gain of cards in your hand after activating this. In other words, if "Graceful Charity" was the only card in your hand when you activated it, after drawing and discarding you will still only have one card in your hand.
