Almost all effects that discard will trigger Dark World monsters. But they do not trigger when discarded as a cost.
Some cards that will activate them,
- Card Destruction
- Dark World Lightning
- Graceful Charity
- Spirit Reaper

∙ 11y agoYes, the monsters are not discarded as a cost, they are discarded during the resolution of the effect. Therefore Dark World monsters can trigger from it.
