Actually, you don't go to any cave. After catching Dialga/Palkia, exit the sphere pillar, then go in again. Run past where Dialga/Palkia was, and you'll see a pokeball. That's the Adamant/Lustrous orb. You cannot get both orbs unless you trade with a Pokemon holding it or hack.

Is there a way to catch Palkia and Dialga without trading?
well, you have to have the lustrus and admant orbs, or else you cant. To get the orbs, go to mount cornet and when you go into an outside and you have to go to your right after using rock climb once and There's a a cave. Go in it and use surf and waterfall. Then you'll see another cave with 2 poke-balls in it. Those are the orbs. then make your way back up to spear pillar and when you get there, you ill see a portal. The first summons Dialga and the second summons Palkia! after summoning dialga, go back through the cave you entered and go to the left of where dialga was, and theres a pink portal press the a button by in to summon Palkia! hope i helped Gliscor 675 signing off!

For diagla and palkia you need to go into the cave for where you got the orb for giratina (if you don't know what cave I'll send you a link on youtube to get the orbs) after you find the orbs you go to spear pillar where you got giratina then when you enter you would see a blue and pink figure. You click the figure to fight diagla and you click the pink figure for palkia. Make sure you save your game before you catch them. Which game do you mean? In Pokemon Platinum, you can find the Adamant Orb as a Itemball in the waterfall room on Mt. Coronet. (You will see the waterfall room as you make your way up to Spear Pillar.) At the top of the waterfall, you will see the entrance to a cave. As soon as you get HM Waterfall, you can climb up and go inside the cave. Inside, you'll see a rock and two Itemballs on either side. The one to the left is the Adamant Orb. The rock in the middle has a hidden item: Stone Plate. The Itemball to the right is the Lustrous Orb. As for Pokemon Diamond, you will get the Adamant Orb on Spear Pillar. You cannot get the Adamant Orb in Pokemon Pearl. Instead, you'll receive the Lustrous Orb on Spear Pillar.

you dont need it a action replay to catch dialga after you beat the elite four go see the elders in celaceon town and the grandma tells you a story and she tells you how to catch both dialga and palkia, but you need to have the lustrous and or the adamant orb, which can both be found in the only room in mt. coronet you need waterfall to get to. you can get both orbs, but not at the same time.

I'm assuming you mean in Platinium since Dialga and Palkia are main in their respective games.In Platinium you need to gain the national Pokedex (so see all Pokemon in the normal dex which is pretty easy if you battle every trainer and visit Solceon's Ruins.) The find the orbs (Adamant - Dialga, Lustrous - Palkia) for the relevant Dragon in Mt Cornet. Taking it to the Sky Pillar will bring forth the Dragon who's orb you have.
