The Hougyoku is the small thing that Aizen pulled out of Rukia. It was created by Urahara Kisuke and has a lot of power. It has the power to give hollows the power pf shinigami (soul reapers). Apparently if Aizen has control of ten Vasto Lords (strongest level of hollow, more powerful than captains) then Soul Society is done for. But when Orihime is captured, Aizen shows her the Hougyku and she decided that she'll use her power to destroy the Hougyku. Major Spoilers.

∙ 16y agoThe Hogyoku, or Breakdown Sphere, is something invented by Kisuke Urahara from the Anime Bleach. It's a small orb that gets rid of the boundary between a shinigami and a hollow. It can allow a shinigami to use hollow powers and Hollows to use Shinigami Powers.

nope... he fused himself with hougyoku... the hougyoku what makes him the new appearance the seemed similar to the vizards transformation...
Did Gin Ichimaru died?
Well, I believe Ichimaru Gin is dead. At episode 308, when ichigo has arrived, he said, ur at a level, where i can 'die' and leave this to you,. And he also said, im glad i said sorry "goodbye rangiku" which really meant, he knew he would die at the end, sacrificing himself... (New Edit by random stranger) In the manga, Gin is traveling with Aizen in soul society, where they transported Karakura town (in order for Aizen to not get his hands on the souls there, but Aizen ends up getting past the Captains). Gin pretends to kill Rangiku because of Aizen's orders. Gin inserts a piece of his Zanpakutou's sword into Aizen, and destroys Aizen from the inside out, but the Hougyoku saves Aizen and he remains unharmed. Aizen kills Gin, and Rangiku finds his body, and is heartbroken.
When ichigo uses the final getsuga tenshou does he lose his powers forever?
Urahara said he will lose his powers when he blanks out again. He will regain his powers because his dad once lost his powers but they returned, ryuken ishada's dad talked about this, so he knew abot the final gt and used it and his powers returned edit by macauley1415 it is believed Isshin Kurosaki (ichigo's dad) lost his powers from the final getsuga tensho. the reason he can use this is because his zanpacto has probably got getsu i believe im quoting this part from a forum post a while ago and got them back with the hougyoku but now that's no longer in the story how ichigos gets his powers back change depending on if you read the manga or watch the anime. (from here its pretty big spoilers i guess) in the manga ichigo trains to use a full bring only to have that taken away only to be given soul reaper powers from rukia, renji, byakuya, toshiro and kenpachi by using a method similar to how he got his powers at the very beginning whereas in the anime it has them artificially making ichigos spiritual pressure from his reiatsu.(both anime and manga have him completely lose his powers before getting them back)
How is Ichigo half human?

Lol learn to spell...Anyways, He is half human because his mother is human (Quincy-human) and half shinigami cause of Isshin. But, there are various theories going around, as in maybe ichigo might have had some interaction with hougyoku during his birth or so. As an experiment of Aizen. Explaining his ridiculous amount of spirit energy(Totally wrong.He had that reiatsu because he was being substitude shinigami..watch the arc with Ginjo) Or like Yu Yu Hakusho Lead Character, Half-Human Half-Demon (Death God here).Half-Human actually gives more power to his other part, because Humans are basically greedy, arrogant. egoistical, etc. which in turn help during his fights ... Arrogance and ego give him the edge when it comes to not loosing LOSING no matter what. Then theres Pride, if you see yu yu hakusho, you will find out what I meant :Dwell in the latest manga you find out that the hollow in side of him actually zangetsu and that what you thought was zangetsu was actually the quincy power and was supressing his full power the whole time.
