It did crash once in one of the Next Generation movies, and burned up in the atmosphere in the movie Star Trek 3. It was also seen on the ground as it was being built in the latest Star Trek movie released in May of 2009. It was never designed to "land" on a planet. The enterprise did land . On season 2 episode 1 it finds a 1937 ford pickup in space and has to land on the planet. I cant remember any other time it lands. Because Every series has to end eventually that's just like you saying why did they end Star Trek Voyager, Star Trek Deep Space Nine, Star Trek The Next Generation, Star Trek the Origianl Series. Did you ever think of that
Not a lot. There was a mention in the first Hitchhikers series about "boldly splitting infinitives that had never been split before" and a mention in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Threshold" about infinite speed meaning passing through every point in the Universe simultaneously, a crib from the Hitchhiker's Infinite Improbability Drive. But please don't watch that episode just to see it, it's one of the worst Star Trek episodes ever made.
