It did crash once in one of the Next Generation movies, and burned up in the atmosphere in the movie Star Trek 3. It was also seen on the ground as it was being built in the latest Star Trek movie released in May of 2009. It was never designed to "land" on a planet.
The enterprise did land . On season 2 episode 1 it finds a 1937 Ford pickup in space and has to land on the planet. I cant remember any other time it lands. (of course this does not include a crash landing) episode was called "the 37's"
