The subsequent V-tamer manga and adventure anime were just follow-ons of this. Talking about the digimon anime, which is what most people cite as being a pokemon rip-off, that just plain doesn't make sense. The anime is about each character meeting a single digimon and powering them up to fight with them i a plot to save the world from evil and suchlike. Pokemon is an anime about one character and his pokemon which he was given, and his quest to catch them all. The digimon anime is closer to mar, but no-one accuses that of being a pokemon ripoff.EDIT: Pokemon was released at February 27, 1996, and Digimon at June 26, 1997, and Digimon is not a ripoff of Tamagotchi, case it wad released by the same company witch makes Digimon another merchandise, and not a ripoff.

To get digieggs ------------------------ Go to the place where you battled Light Fang at the beginning of the game. Except, talk to Kudamon (the first digimon you see at the counter/kinda a white snake). He'll talk to you and a different page appears. You can use wifi or wireless to do digimon matching. Click on one of the options and choose digimon matching (recommended you choose random). Then, choose the farm island and choose the digimon you want your digimon to breed with and breed the 2 digimon together. you'll get a digiegg. To hatch them --------------------------- To hatch them, take the egg out of the digibank and choose the island you want it on. For max hatching speed, please put stuff that can raise your digimon's exp and raise it. If it's a darkspot or purple, I recommend the Odd pot and darkness terrian card. Everytime you receive a call from Gatomon (in my game, it's Phascomon) go back to the bank and give it more experience. Then, select talk and talk to it. It may be able to hatch or may not be able to yet

If you are talking about Digi Eggs that let you Armor Digivolve, you get those as rewards for missions and sometimes as gifts, but if your talking about an actual egg that hatches, you have to get another DS with Digimon Dusk/Dawn and have them make the egg.
