John Wayne used the same gun in several movies - a Winchester Model 94, chambered for a 32-40 round.
The John Wayne Commemorative Rifle (I have one still new in the box I got 24 years ago) has engraved on the receiver all of the movies he used that particular rifle in. It differs from the standard Winchester in that the lever has a larger loop, making it stand out. Any John Wayne fan can spot the difference - in some movies, he'll even swap a regular Winchester for that one.
Some of the movies he used it in are:
The Sons of Katie Elder
Hondo
The Searchers
Stagecoach
The Man who shot Liberty Valance
El Dorado
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
The War Wagon
Red River
The Cowboys
McClintock! (my wife's favorite)
Rio Bravo
True Grit
Chisum
How the West was Won
Rio Grande

In "The Sons of Katie Elder" (filmed in Durango in 1965) Tom Elder (Wayne) and his 3 brothers are accused of horse rustling.
Martin and Wayne made two movies together. Rio Lobo (1959) and Sons of Katie Elder (1965). I can't remember Martin being shot with an arrow in either one of these films.
