It was mixed Cartoons and live action- a first for Disney- but a technique used much later in (Mary Poppins) and numerous television commercials which mix real kids and cartoon characters. It was the only Disney film that had anything resembling Black lead or important characters. It is not currently available. The theme song,. Zippety-doodah, was much later revived by of all people, the Jackson Five ( Michael Jackson"s group) and was quite popular. The film has not been reissued in many years. It might be racially offensive to some.
