again, something I manages to solve accidentally- following various obsequies in a number of cities- the Corpse of Supergirl was flown to Rokyn or New Kandor- a Krypton like planet- also closing out the Kandor plot line, sure shook up the Dc Universe- that Crisis wave! So she is buried in New Kandor or Rokyn.
The body of Supergirl, after various memorial rites in US Cities , was flown to Rokyn ( New KANDOR) full-sized by Superman. She was interred in a Mausoleum on Rokyn. Rokyn is pronounced ( Row-Keen) do not confuse with the Rockin" Robin! It sounds vaguely Oriental, an old tradition in science-fiction for alien lands, etc.
Supergirl dies in action in the ( Crisis) series- she is no longer a current charactr in the DC stable. It is true that Brainiac 5 (In Legion) seemed to have a crush on her, but knew this could not be consummated because she was doomed to die young. In other words, he knew in advance- Pit-falls of time travel/
Zor-El who was an engineer in Argo City, Krypton, and his wife Allura (a Blonde). according to the pre-crisis story line are still alive in Kandor having been rescued from the Survival zone- (similar to the Phantom Zone) by Superman and Supergirl. (Clark Kent and Kara Zor-El)
Originally a sub-feature character in Adventure comics - she was introduced in l962 largely the Brain-child of science fiction writer Otto Binder. Sadly, she died in the crisis of Alternate Worlds- in l985, has been interred ( if one can use that word on an alien planet) in Rokyn Mausoleum- and effectively, the original Kara Zor-El has been dropped from the main roster of DC comics.
Incredible Crisis happened in 1999.
In the family sense, yes, Quite literally they were Kissing Cousins in the El family. I use the past tense as Kara Zor-el was killed off in the (crisis on infinite earths) plot line and is not part of the current DC series line-ups. Re-runs, of course have their own class of immortality- as with television shows.
There is no such character in the canonical, standard DC universe. Supergirl is Kara, or Kara Zore-el. Kara means Jewel in German. she was created by the German-American science fiction writer Binder. Her secret identity was/is Linda Lee Danvers originally Linda Lee. interestingly both her real father (Zor-el living with Allura in Kandor, at least recently), and her adoptive father Richard Danvers were engineers and in her first public (semi-on a deserted road) Supergirl rescued her adoptive parents from a bridge accident-again tying into the Slide-rule angle. Supergirl was allegedly killed off in the Crisis series but has probably been revitalized in some way. There is a current Supergirl comic book. odd I can"t think of , Yes it was Otto Binder, very Berlin sounding.

Both solo and with the Justice League of America. Superboy, however was a charter member- the Legion had their doubts, as emergencies on 20Th century Earth kept him hopping, of the Legion of Super-heroes- originally hyphenated. Supergirl was also a member of the Legion. Sadly she is no longer with us. ( Supergirl, the Kara Zor-el character , was killed off in the Crisis on Infinite Worlds and has been dropped from the main lines of DC comics.
In the somewhat contoversial Crisis in infinite worlds series- Supergirl was literally killed off in the (Superman) canon, so to speak and has not been revived to date. they can of course use reruns of Kara Zor-el but she is no longer in the DC comics stable of regular characters. Wonder Woman is still active, however.

Supergirl definitely died, Kara Zor-El story came to an end in Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 (October 1985), in one of the 12-issues of the limited series. Supergirl, in one of the most memorable moments of the series, as she bravely sacrifices her life heroically to save her cousin, Superman and the multiverse, during a cosmic battle against an unstoppable evil. Her death was mourned through the DC Universe for several months, before all of reality came to an end, clearing the way for DC Comics' complete reboot of continuity in 1986.When DC continuity was rebooted following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, DC editorial felt that Superman should be the sole survivor of Krypton. Kara was thus erased from the new history of the DC universe.hell no she was did you not see justice league unlmtied super girl si alvie kara is fine noe eased or dead she go in to future alone super man dos not go with her he stay in the passed she desde to stay in the future she cant give up her life for super man when ther ei sno super man in the future justice league unlmtied was made long after 1985 it wa sin 00 years and super amien siere super girl si alive in that to it in the 00 to so this fake thign was elaserd
