Barack Obama is criticized in many circles as being unqualified for the position of president because of, among other things, his lack of experience in governance. But there is one other president in recent times who had even less experience when elected to that office.

Actually, he had none.

Dwight D. Eisenhower had never sought or held a poltical office of any sort prior to his 1952 Republican Presidential nomination. He was 61 when he became a candidate for the presidency.
