Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) is from Coast City. The Flash (Barry Allen) is from Central City. Two other People who have also been the Flash (Jay Garrick and Wally West) are from Keystone City. Aquaman (Arther Curry) is originally from the lost underwater city of Atlantis.

Outside of continuit there was Red Son where a communist Superman defeated a cop of untrained green lanterns, which I don't feel shows the true power of Green Lanterns, not to mention the powerfulness of Superman in that story. However, in the Superman Batman storyline, Superman defeats Kilowog and Hal Jordan at just about the same time, though they were mind controlled and probably not working to their potential of powers. Basically, by continuity, it could go either way, depending on writer fiat. But being biased as I am Green Lantern wins. ************************************************************************ Superman battled Green Lantern Hal Jordan in Action Comics 437. The battle lasted for 3 pages only. Neither of them was holding back. Green Lantern attacked Superman with various power ring tricks but Superman knocked him out in the end. Could Aquaman beat Green Lantern?
They have totally different powers- and disabilities or situations where their powers do not work. Aquaman can only stay out of water a limited time- which makes sense to a marine Creature. Green Lantern is vulnerable to Yellow Light ( man made, not sunshine)- oddly he does or did most of his crime-fighting at night, but this is hardly unusual. his powers are not supressed in the daytime, but.. His batteries run down and he has to charge his Power Ring every l2 or 24 hours- which introduces complications to the story line ( Imagine Superman running out of gas, so to speak) This used to ( GL power shortage) be a staple plot device in Green Lantern, along with all sorts of subterfuges for hiding the Lantern itself- which is really a power battery in Lamp form. They have different powers and also liabilities. They are allies, why make them fight?
