Astrid Kirchherr. She and Stuart met during the Beatles' stay in Hamburg. Astrid and her friends (including Klaas Voormann - her then boyfriend) met the Beatles when they played at the Kaiserkeller club. She was a photographer who took a set of black and white pictures of the five Beatles around Hamburg, wearing their leather jackets. One of those pictures was the inspiration for the cover photo on their album, With the Beatles. Astrid has also been credited with "inventing" the Beatle haircut. She persuaded Stuart to let her cut his hair and she gave him bangs. Eventually, one-by-one, the others (with the exception of Pete Best) adopted that style.
