Each style has its own strengths and weaknesses. Fire bending and water bending both draw their powers from the sun and moon respectively. Airbending is stronger in places where wind is more prevelant which is why all 4 of the temples where shown either on mountains or in a valley (the western air temple). Earth bending draws strength obvisouly where there is earth to bend. But the strength of the four types of bending depends on who the bender is.
There is no superior element air is portrayed as the strongest but it could easily be defeated but with the new series the legend of korra there is no superior element the strongest element is the strongest user if your looking for a personal opinion i believe water is superior because there is almost an unlimited posiblilty of what u can do with it
1.freeze water
2.scold people
3.water prison
4.breathe underwater
5.octopus form
6.blood bending
and even strange uses like cloud bending or vine bending you never know
;)
Earth
With the exception of water bending, bending was learned from animals. Fire-bending was learned from watching Dragons. Air-bending was learned from watching Flying Bison. Earth-bending has the longest story. Two lovers (in what would later be called Omashu) from battling countries learned Earth-bending from Badger Moles so that they could be together. They made a cave under a mountain that is lit with crystals when dark so they could find each other and be left at peace. Water-bending was learned from watching the Moon bend waves in the ocean. A fifth bending also exists (*spoiler*) which is bending-bending (or spirit-bending) and is known only by Aang and Lion Turtles. Aang having learned it from a Lion Turtle. I do not know why everyone (except the Avatar) can only bend their native element. Or why only some people are benders. I do know that ALL air nomads were air benders. It SEEMS as though anyone should be able to learn to bend any element, but it does not work that way. Though the implication seems to be that bending has a genetic component, rather than a national one (especially since Air nomads are so spread-out).
Bloodbanding is when a waterbender, when strengthened during a full moon, bends the water in someone else's body, and controls his or her movements.
You seem like a worthy bender. Go to link to learn bending. There is a whole collection of techniques for you to start with, and lots of instructors to assist you. Yep that's right! also if you join this site http://4elementrath.webs.com you will love it! there are bending photos bending videos it teaches all 4 element (earth fire water and air) it also teaches sub elements too like ice bending sandbending ect. Think of bending like you would think of a martial art (as that what Bending is based off of). Sokka was never really interested in bending from the start so he never really learned the moves needed to bend an element. He instead chose to be a swordsman. Besides Michael Dante DiMartino (Creator of Avatar) said that Sokka had some water bending potential but never realized it.Actually, Sokka could learn how to bend but never did. Michael Dante DiMartino (Creator of avatar) said Sokka had water bending potential but never realized it. But Sokka is okay with that because, apparently, he doesn't like many spiritual things.
Earth
You cannot bend any element. It is physically impossible.
no it's not real neither is fire water air earth. or if you don't believe me go to learn fire water earth air bending to learn.
From the original series, I recall toph saying earth bending was created by badger moles. Aang mentioned sky bisons created air bending. Zuko said dragons and the moon is the source of water bending
I think that earth would win, (I assume you're talking about bending elements like in the show avatar the last airbender) because earth elementalists could just crush whoever was bending water. Also you can swim in water, you can't swim in earth.
You cannot bend any element. It is physically impossible.

I hate to break this to you but water-bending is not real. The bending in Avatar are based as an old Chinese martial art known as Kung Fu. the motions are close but they do not lift water, earth, fire, or air.
sorry no. fire, water, air, and earth bending are completley fictional
Yes because water can dissolve earth. Even though earth can be very strong & hard, after a while, water can dissolve it.
