Robert D. Baldassarre is a Managing Director in KPMG's Economic and Valuation Services practice based in Boston. Rob specializes in global transfer pricing planning and documentation, and has experience in transfers of tangible and intangible property, inter-company services, related-party financial transactions, and tax-related valuations. Rob has 14 years of experience in economic analysis and consulting. Prior to joining KPMG, he served as an internal management consultant in logistics and operations research at Compaq. He also held positions in the private sector as an economist and forecast manager at Standard & Poor's, and in the public sector as a development economist for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Affairs. He began his career as a budget policy analyst for the Massachusetts Legislature. Rob graduated from Boston University with an undergraduate degree in economics and international relations and an MBA in finance and economics. Outside of his client service responsibilities, Robert is a member of the EVS's national quality review team, serving as a Washington National Tax representative in reviewing and approving transfer pricing compliance and planning studies. In addition, he has served on several technical solution and client development teams and is currently a member of the national Operational Transfer Pricing team. Rob is also active in the Boston business community and in civic affairs. He has served for two years as the KPMG representative to Massachusetts Incorporated, a business and public policy think tank. He has served as a board member of the Commonwealth Corporation since being appointed to this position in 2004 by Governor Romney. He is also a member of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the MIT Forum, the National Association of Business Economists, and the National Italian American Foundation.
