There is no present king of Italy, nor has there been since 1946, or, arguably, 1983.

The last king of Italy was King Umberto of the Savoy royal family. He spent a large portion of his life in exile in Portugal and was generally popular throughout the rest of Europe. The Italian throne was abolished in 1946 as fascists took control of the government and the new constitution of the Italian Republic made it illegal for any male from his lineage to take over the throne in 1947, or even to enter Italy.

King Umberto died in 1983, the year that some of his loyalists said was the actual end of his legitimate reign after the 980 year era of the Savoy dynasty.
