And the lands to where his malls are standing are not fully-owned of his company, and should all be paying abundant taxes. If he is the richest man in the Philippines today according to any source, I might say that he is not paying appropriate taxes duly obliged unto his company. He might be hiding a lot of his liabilities, and he might not be declaring his TRUE incomes and revenues to have the government run after his liabilities!! Thence, the bank BDO was just made from a merger of EPCI-BDO, probably the large chunk of accounts it contain are the individual, group and company depositors money, and not from Henry Sy, he might be owning significant stakes from the bank but he might also be lying and boasting too much!!

Some of the businessmen or clans in the Philippines can hide their REAL fortunes and I think Forbes magazines estimation to declare any richest person in the Philippines can be critical as well, especially to a poor and a small-average economy, and to a NO.1 most corrupt country in Asia is best known among the government, but it can also be particular to companies and people like the businessmen who could be corrupt against the people and the government by not paying appropriate taxes through the years! Anyone who is richest in the Philippines may condemned and persecuted to hell when they die! They deserve it! And if Henry Sy is the richest.. then he deserves to be there!
