Commander Root agreed to give Holly another chance in "Artemis Fowl" because he recognized her potential and bravery, despite her previous mistakes. He understood the importance of teamwork and the unique skills she brought to the mission. Additionally, Root valued loyalty and wanted to support Holly in proving herself, especially after her efforts to help save the fairy world. This decision reflected his belief in second chances and the importance of trusting his team.
I have 4 favourite characters in that book. First Holly Short, I think she's a wonderful character. Artemis is obviously one of my favourites, too. And I must say that I really love Mulch and Foaly. I prefer Holly Short because she is really determined like Artemis Fowl. Holly Short is quick witted when she is in danger.
The dwarves realise that it is the only way to escape, and the only chance they'll get to do it.
It isn't just the cast who would have to agree to make another movie. For starters you would need to convince J.K. Rowling to write another book and then allow Warner Brothers to turn it into a movie. Although J.K. Rowling has stated she could write more books, she doesn't plan on doing it and several members of the cast including Daniel Radcliffe have said they wouldn't return for another movie.
