he did it because he wanted too get back konaha soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad that he even''did'nt care'' about his birth clan anymore and itachi could'nt do it by himself so he jumped(when i say''jumped'' i mean he leaped in to the heavens and gave god a kiss)(lol!).
