They make more money because the entertainment brings a huge audience, so the actors ask for more money. Alot of people in the industry are selfish and conceited. They dont like signing autographs and seeing fans, things of that nature. But, what they dont remember is that we PAY them for their music, movies, and everything they do. So is it too much to ask for a quick autography? Is that too much to ask? They arent asking to come over their house and eat dinner.
My Opinon is that they should not get paid nowhere near as much as they get paid. For example : Jessica Simpson, 250million/year for the Proactiv commercials. People that are doing something productive for this country should be paid what entertainers get paid. People such as, Doctors (of any sort),school teachers, firemen, police officers etc. Those people should get paid 200million/a year. Doctors are saying lives!!! Isnt it more important to save a life then anything else?.
Who do you think should get paid more? A person, that saves you from Heart disease? Or a person that fixes your heart by making a stupid love song to help you forget about your ex?
I think thiz topic should be brought up to the President Of The U.S.
Excellent question.
AnswerNow hold on a second, your answer involves a lot of glittering generalities. You give one example, but that's not enough. People in the entertainment industry don't make that much. According to the screen actor's guild (the union for people acting in tv and movies) and its sister guild Actor's Equity Ass. ( the union for stage actors) the average performer makes 12,000 ANNUALLY. That's only 1,000 dollars per month, and that isn't even enough to pay for housing in a city like NY or LA. Yes, actors like Jessica Simpson make lots of money, but success in this business is hard to come by. Stop griping, if you want to take all of the risks that actors take, be my guest and cash in on these amazing pay rates. And stop throwing sticks and stones at the entertainment industry. Yes, some actors are conceited and don't want to sign autographs, but many of them are nice. Don't talk like that until you actually know something.
The highest compensation for entertainers is significantly higher than the highest compensation for non-entertainers because the skills that entertainers possess are more scarce, in high demand and exist in specialize markets than those who are non-entertainers. For example, many people can play basketball or can sing, but there is only one Michael Jordan and Mariah Carey. As a result of their rare talent and the demand for that talent, they both can command higher compensation than someone whose occupation is more common.
In another example, although most medical doctors have highly specialized skills in high demand that result in a higher than average compensation as compared to the average worker, there are far more medical doctors in the world than entertainers and this, coupled with constraints placed upon their compensation (i.e., insurance companies), results in the highest paid medical doctor earning significantly less than the highest paid entertainer.
AnswerJust like it has been said for years. It's called "selling your soul to the devil". Money is at the root of all evil that comes in the form of selfishness. The Entertainment industry is one of the primary entities in the world that promotes the evil of selfishness. And it's no coincidence that money is the biggest tool that is used for it. Famous actors that are seen as potential marketers of the evil, with the ability to spread its filth across the masses, will get paid well enough to keep their hands dirty and their souls dead for the rest of their lives. So, again, it's like making a deal with the devil. You get to live in luxury for the short life you have. But when you die, sooner or later, you will be in for an unpleasant surprise. Is it really worth it to live your short life to serve yourself? You could get his by a bus today!! Acting is nothing but the replacement of a real person with a fake one for the sake of promoting deception. ACTORS LIE FOR A LIVING. And they get promoted as idols that should be admired. Many many fools in the world.
It's a simple matter of supply and demand. If the general public is willing to pay a certain amount for a movie ticket/theatre ticket/cable/rental/etc, then any actor (or any person) associated with any given project has the right to ask for their piece of the pie. Since the actors in a project are the most visible representative of that project, and therefore assume the most scrutiny, it may be argued that the actors have the most to personally lose from a projects failure.
Actually, most working actors do not make a great deal of money. Because the general public is only interested in how much money celebrities make, it feeds a misconception that all actors make a ridiculous amount of money.
Actors also have to take into consideration how hard it is to get regular acting work. Actors typically (though not always) take a buyout for their work. The actor gets paid only once, while his work is shown over and over again in various media. An actor may ask for a higher salary because he receives no payment for all further usage for his hard work.
At the end of the day, an actor gets paid a certain amount, because a producer is willing to pay him it.
because they are so famous. if someone does a movie, people pay to go see it, and they get a share, if someone is a singer, they get money from people buying their cds and buying tickets to see them in concert.
Escape from daily worries, stresses, monotony.
Because life isn't possible without them, atleast that's what I'm lead to believe. That's why they can get away with rape, murder, etc.

Yes, celebrities do vomit, just like everyone else can.
Jennifer Aniston
Celebrities often claim to dislike or even hate paparazzi (photographers/videographers who take photos/video of celebrities in public and sometimes even private moments). Some celebrities refuse to acknowledge the paparazzi, and some (such as Sean Penn, for instance) have become physically violent with paparazzi. However, paparazzi need money, and to get money, they have to take as many photos of as many celebrities as possible, with an emphasis on getting the photos first (or at least before anyone else) and getting them sold to media outlets and magazines. Celebrities need the paparazzi on some level because the more the celebrity is "in the news," generally, the better it is for his or her career.
