They make more money because the entertainment brings a huge audience, so the actors ask for more money. Alot of people in the industry are selfish and conceited. They dont like signing autographs and seeing fans,things of that nature. But, what they dont remember is that we PAY them for their music,movies,and everything they do. So is it too much to ask for a quick autography? Is that too much to ask? They arent asking to come over their house and eat dinner.

My Opinon is that they should not get paid nowhere near as much as they get paid. For example : Jessica Simpson, 250million/year for the Proactiv commercials. People that are doing something productive for this country should be paid what entertainers get paid. People such as, Doctors (of any sort),school teachers,firemen,police officers etc. Those people should get paid 200million/a year. Doctors are saying lives!!! Isnt it more important to save a life then anything else?.

Who do you think should get paid more? A person, that saves you from Heart disease? Or a person that fixes your heart by making a stupid love song to help you forget about your ex?

According to the screen actor's guild (the union for people acting in tv and movies) and its sister guild Actor's Equity Ass. ( the union for stage actors) the average performer makes 12,000 ANNUALLY. That's only 1,000 dollars per month, and that isn't even enough to pay for housing in a city like NY or LA. Yes, actors like Jessica Simpson make lots of money, but success in this business is hard to come by. If the general public is willing to pay a certain amount for a movie ticket/theatre ticket/cable/rental/etc, then any actor (or any person) associated with any given project has the right to ask for their piece of the pie. Since the actors in a project are the most visible representative of that project, and therefore assume the most scrutiny, it may be argued that the actors have the most to personally lose from a projects failure.
