Hiya. I have the same problem. I've done a look around and apparently it has something to do with the latest DS lite versions. I would suggest (if you have one) using the old, OLD DS. I would also recommend getting rid of the crappy Action Replay EZ as it doesn't work at all. Take it back and get the ACTUAL ARDS (Action Replay DS).
