Why induced emf in transformers lag excitation current?

All magnetic materials require some energy before they will operate. You can think of it as the price of admission. In an electrical transformer, the excite current is actually a composite of the energy which is lost due to eddy currents in the magnetic material as well as hysteresis losses of the material. Excite current is both frequency and voltage dependent. Instead of saying, "before my husband will do anything I have to bake him a cake", you could say"before my transformer runs at 115Vinput, I have to supply x milliAmps of excite current just to get the core going." A special class of transformers known as CT's or Current Transformer's works in much the same way, except their voltage is reflected off the load instead of coming directly in through the primary. This energy is dissipated as heat. In power transformers, the concern is energy lost with no load connected on the output. In current transformers, the concern is the varying loss of accuracy due to the highly non-linear nature of excite current, especially at low excite levels.

Why The Excitation current is non-sinusoidal when applied voltage is sinusoidal?

excitation voltage is sinusoidal because it is taken from the terminal of alternator but excitation current is non-sinusoidal because it always dc.

What is nonsinusoidal currents?

"nonsinusoidal current" is any current that is not sinusoidal - it could be a wave such as a square wave, triangle wave, etc. DC (direct current) is non sinusoidal. This term is often used in reference to currents that you "would expect" to be sinusoidal (such as the current to your house is sinusoidal at 50 or 60 hz) but aren't - such as transformer inrush current, magnetizing currents,...any current with large amounts of harmonics. AC current is also (generally) not sinusoidal due to the way power supplies only conduct from the input when the rectifier filter capacitor needs to be recharged during each line cycle. That results in a pulsing current, even though the voltage is mostly sinusoidal.

What are the differences between sinusoidal oscillators and non sinusoidal oscillators?

sinusoidal vs non sinusoidal

because they have more harmonics

Find the output waveform of op amp when inverted input terminal connected to a ground and a sinusoidal signal of 4 v peak at non inverting input?

In this configuration the opamp basically works as a non inverting comparator. During the positive cycle of the waveform the output will saturate to positive Vcc, while during the negative cycle the output saturates to negative Vcc. Therefore the output waveform is a square wave with amplitude equal to the supplies and period equal to the input waveform.

What is the cause of input offset voltages and current?

Due to the manufacturing process of op-amps, the differential input transistors may not have exactly the same values, meaning they are not exactly matched. This means that voltage would have to be placed on the non-inverting terminal, with the non-inverting terminal grounded, in order to produce a zero output. The voltage required at the non-inverting terminal in called the input offset voltage.
