Katniss kills President Coin instead of President Snow. When Katniss is in the hospital, Coin pays her a visit and tells her that the bomb that killed her sister Prim was an order from President Snow. She thinks back and remembers a conversation where President Snow says they should not lie to each other, and realizes that he did not order the bomb that killed Prim, but Coin did. The day she is to kill Snow, she instead raises her bow and kills Coin instead. There is a stampede of people who had gathered to watch Snow be killed fleeing from the scene. Snow is seen choking on blood as Coin collapses.
