The reson why the fallen wanted optimus dead was because only the prime can kill the fallen and he is on a very dangoures mission finding the matrisks of leadership to destroy the sun and harvest enegy. And remember, only prime and destroy the fallen. In the 3rd movie, optimus had his right arm cut off by zata prime(but kown as senetal prime) but zata died because megatron came in and left him on the floor while trying to fight optimus. He jumped on Optimus, and ripped one of his wings off (wings from Jetfire). Optimus grabbed The Fallen, and shoved him against a wall. The Fallen grabbed his special staff, but Optimus then snatched it off him. He shoved it through The Fallen's face and said, "you picked the wrong planet". And with the special staff, Optimus ripped The Fallen's mask off and shoved his hand through The Fallen's body, and ripped out The Fallen's spark. Then Optimus said, "I rise, you fall". Optimus let The Fallen's body fall to the ground, and that was the end of The Fallen.
