The new Inuyasha series - Titled "Inuyasha the final act" began on October 4th 2009 and ended on March 30th 2010. It has not been dubbed in English yet but it is out in Japanese language with English subtitles.
It wasn't canceled, it just ended early. It ended early because the anime was catching up to manga in Japan so they had to keep making filler episodes. they continued the show until ep. 167. then they decided to let the viewers just read the manga. then Sunrise started up the anime again in may. they called it inuyasha: kanketsu-hen, or inuyasha: the final act for the english-speaking people. hulu has its own eng-subbed version, and the eng-dubbed version is in the making. the show has ended, however, and so has the manga. the final act has only (sadly) 26 or so episodes. hope that helps!
