DNA is a volatile molecule, and without active biological repair, will decay rapidly. The samples of DNA that scientists have been able to extract from mummies and frozen Neolithic Germans are due to the atypical preservative condition of those corpses. In general, a body which has been dead and buried has no salvageable DNA (at least not enough to use to identify that person conclusively) after a few decades or centuries.
South African - British Molecular biologist discovered a new model of DNA
Rosalind Franklin made significant contributions to the understanding of the molecular structures of DNA, RNA, viruses, coal, and graphite. Her most notable achievement was the X-ray diffraction images of DNA, particularly Photograph 51, which provided critical insights into the double helix structure of DNA. This work was pivotal in the discovery of the DNA structure by James Watson and Francis Crick, although her contributions were not fully recognized during her lifetime. Franklin's research laid the groundwork for modern molecular biology.

How should I know?
X-Ray
Rosalind Franklin did not discover DNA. DNA was discovered long before she photographed the images via X-ray crystallography. With the help of these images, Watson and Crick were able to figure out the structure of the nucleic acid in 1953. Watson and Crick did not discover DNA either; they developed the concept of the "double helix," which was accepted as the structure of DNA.
