its listed as LC on the iucn red list. But as a species they are threatened in England because of predators like falcons and dogs cats and foxes. But the biggest threat of all is Grey squirrels which were introduced to England from North America . firstly they out compete reds in all ways in food it can eat more and it will bully reds for food and territory which makes reds less likely to breed. But the biggest problem with Grey's is that they carry squirrel parapoxvirus which grays are immune to but will kill reds.
deforestation and being killed by man made objects such as cars also affect population's.
No. They're are too many squirrels too count but we still do not want to destroy their homes.
No. They are in every park in the US.
I have been doing research but the only thing i really saw was very few natural predators but, can get killed on roads.

One of the major reasons for endangered species is habitat loss. Also, people are cutting down trees and they are polluting the lakes, rivers, ponds, and any other water you see outside. Also there has been a lot of fires and a lot of floods. Another reason is that people have been littering. People have been throwing trash on the roads and near wildlife areas. One of the major reasons for endangered species is habitat loss. The hand of man has accelerated extinction on a massive scale in the last two centuries. People traveled to islands where they had never been, bringing cats and dogs along with them. The creatures on these islands had not developed any defense against such predators. We killed others for food, thinking they were so abundant they could never be completely wiped out. But all one has to do is read the story of the passenger pigeon to see how foolish that notion was. I only pray that in the future we will learn to be better stewards of this planet and the creatures that call it home. Extinction is forever.

I believe it is the Red Squirrel
Nope. As a species, they are doing pretty well.
Yes, depending on what part of the country you live in. No. There is no such species as the black squirrel. Black squirrels are only black specimens of the gray squirrel, Sciurus Carolinensis, and the fox squirrel, Sciurus Niger. Since these animals are not a species unto themselves, they cannot be classified.
The North American Man Squirrel Love Association is dedicated to helping endangered flying squirrels.
With a population of nearly three million from North Carolina to Texas, the American alligator is certainly not an endangered species.
Sometimes they do. Indeed there is a whole genus called pine squirrels living in North America. It has three species of squirrels: the American red squirrel, the Douglas squirrel and Mearns squirrel. The American red squirrel should not be confused with the European squirrel.
There are two distinct species of red squirrel. The American red squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) is found over much of North America. Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) is found across much of Europe and northern Asia.
There are over 200 species of squirrels worldwide, with around 50 of them living in North America. These species can be found across various habitats, from forests to urban areas, and they play important roles in ecosystem dynamics and seed dispersal.

The Northern flying squirrel is endangered in the southern part of its range, in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. It is strictly protected in these areas by law.
