Chemical - a physical change can be reversed , e.g Freezing water, melting chocolate.

But something like popping corn is ireversible like baking a cake or boiling a egg.

99% of making popcorn is a physical change -- you're flashing liquid water in the kernel into steam; not chemical in that you're changing the shaps of the corn but not the composition. The exceptions are that a tiny amount of protein may be denatured, and if you burn it you're into chem change city.

Physical change, mostly. The starch isn't converted into anything else but the heat does change the chemical structure somewhat.

No, because i think its a physical change and thats because nothing is being addded or melting just a form of changing the cornballs. The way it appears is different.

It's a physical change.. The popped corn is still corn - the heat from the pan simply made the kernels expand so they burst out of their seed cases.
