well 9000W divided by 230V = 39 amps, so a 40 or 45 amp fuse would be considered.
and then going back to this question, why is overload protection required to be between 30 and 40, because of its KW rating.

A safety switch does not provide overload or over current protection. The safety switch is positioned just before the motor and just after the motor protection equipment.
