Believe it or not this used to be a common practice to stop badly smoking engines from smoking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS! Years ago when VW Bug's were plentiful auto car lots used to pour powdered Ajax in the carburetor while revving the engine. It would stop the smoking of the engine and would restore the compression and give life back to the engine that was otherwise past it's usefulness. It appears that the pistons and walls in the engine were scuffed up enough that they could re-seat and 'sand off' any buildup of carbon from years of burning oil because of bad maintenance or excessive miles. All I can say is Wow!
Abrasive cleaners include products like baking soda, scouring powders (such as Comet or Ajax), and abrasive pads like steel wool or Scotch-Brite sponges. These cleaners are designed to physically scrub away tough stains, grime, and rust from surfaces. They are effective on hard surfaces like sinks, stovetops, and bathroom tiles but should be used with caution to avoid scratching delicate finishes.
Palmolive typically produces better bubbles than Ajax because of its formula that is designed for creating more lather and suds. The ingredients in Palmolive are often gentler on skin and more conducive to bubble formation compared to Ajax.
To prove that Palmolive makes more bubbles than Ajax, you can conduct a simple experiment by using equal amounts of each dish soap in separate containers filled with water and observe the number and size of bubbles produced. You could also compare the ingredient list of both products to check for ingredients that are known to create more bubbles.
really it depends
I just bought the smallest bottle of palmolive and the largest bottle of ajax Both the same color and about the same price. Both are made by colgate. I can't tell the difference.
Dawn typically produces more bubbles than Ajax due to its formula being more concentrated and designed specifically for creating suds and cutting through grease effectively. However, both soaps are effective at cleaning dishes and removing food residue.
YES!!!
Ajax cleanser (or Ajax brand cleanser with bleach) is a powdered household and industrial cleaner introduced by Colgate-Palmolive in 1947. Its slogan was "Stronger than dirt!", a reference to the mythical character Ajax, one of the strongest characters in Greek Mythology.
Ajax suds last longer than Palmolive or Dawn. I did this as a science project and it lasted longer than 2 hours and Palamolive and Dawn had already disappeared.
AJAX, when used properly, makes the metal surfaces in your kitchen look nice and shiny.
Ajax cleanser (or Ajax brand cleanser with bleach) is a powdered household and industrial cleaner introduced by Colgate-Palmolive in 1947. Its slogan was "Stronger than dirt!", a reference to the mythical character Ajax. The slogan would be used again for its Ajax Laundry Detergent, when introduced in the early-1960s, with an armed knight riding a white horse. In addition, a widely mocked commercial in the late-1970s/early-1980s declared, "Armed...with Ajax!" In the UK character actress Ann Lancaster appeared on the "It cleans like a white tornado" television advertisements.
Brands like Dawn, Palmolive, and Mrs. Meyer's are known for effectively cutting through grease due to their powerful degreasing agents and formulas specifically designed for dishwashing.
There were two Ajax. Ajax Oileades and Ajax the greater.
