The Earth's magnetic field protects the biosphere from harmful radiation from the sun: particularly charged particles. These the magnetic field forces to turn and travel along the magnetic lines of force where they do at last penetrate the Earth's atmosphere at the magnetic poles. This is the source of the Northern Lights. These locations are therefore locales of high harmful radiation. The fact that they are are currently in high north (and south) means that there isn't too much life there to get harmed by it. If the north magnetic pole were to be in the Amazon Rain Forest we would see a large area where life was adversely affected by the radiation.

Savannas are very important. They are the homes to many animals, some that are endangered and rare. Grasslands are where most of the big migrations occur, the biggest on in Africa's grassland, the Serengeti. Here the animals graze, rest, and then migrate for winter, during which time other animals prey on those traveling. Many do not make it to their destination for many different reasons, lack of food and water, or being eaten my another animal. Savannas are protected by the governments and you cannot hunt on these lands.
well i think it is important because then in later referance it will be useful to somebody and we will be able to kepp track of how many animals there are in the woodlands
Mitochondria, the energy producing organelle located inside a eurkaryotic cell is indeed found in animals. Animal cells(which are eukaryotic cells) are made up of a variety of organelles such as mitochondria, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, the Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, and of coarse the nucleus. If animals didn't have mitochondria in their cellls, they wouldn't be able to breathe, exercise, watch t.v. or post answers on wikianswers.com :) Without energy you would be a piece of limp cells and tissues lacking nutrients or any proper nourishments. You would simply be dead. We animals need energy to live, let alone carry out the common activities that can be done in a daily routine. MITOCHONDRIA ARE IMPORTANT FOR SURVIVAL!!!!!!!!!! So your answer is yes, mitochondria can be found inside animals.
