, when it gets to 46 psi, does it keep running and never gets past 46? If it is just getting to 46psi and then stopping, you may just need to adjust the pressure switch, as they get older the springs get weaker and lose tension. Make sure the power s off!!!! There should be a gray rectangle box with wires going into it. There should be a small nut on top if loosen, the cover will come off exposing wires and 2 poles with nuts on them and springs under them. There should be a tall one with a big spring, and a shorter one with a smaller spring. The shorter one with the smaller spring is usually the hi pressure cut out switch. By rotating it clockwise it will raise the cut out pressure. You will want to turn just a little at a time, turn the power on watch the water pressure to see where the pressure cuts out. Its safer to take ure time, some people will crank down the nut and send the pressure so high it will blow the tank out or burst a pipe. So as i said its safer to go just a little at a time. When u get to near 50 + or - you should be good to go. You may also want to check the pressure in ure pressure tank as well. You do this by opening the water valves and letting all the pressure out and leaving the valve open. Then u can hook up a tire pressure gauge, there should be a little cap located on the pressure tank. It should read about 30 psi. If it much lower you will want to add air till the pressure reads about 28 - 30 .Normally you want the tank pressure to be 2 psi lower then the turn on pressure ( yours is 30 ) With the water valves still open, if the pressure will not go to 28 no matter how long u try to put air in, u may need a new pressure tank, they have a rubber bladder that eventually fails.

P.S. If water comes squirting out the tank when you check the air pressure, its pretty much shot. Unless it is a really old model that does not have a bladder, then water may come out. Best way to know is find the model number do a search to see if the tank has a bladder or just gets filled with air.

You can check the air pressure in the pressure tank before you let the water out or turn the power out. That way if water does come out, you know u have something to take care of before messing with anything else. The pressure should be at least 28psi and may read as hi as 46psi since there is water pressure pushing on the air which will actually make the air pressure read higher then it actually is. That's why u want to let all the water out to get a true reading on air pressure as well to see if the tank still holds air. If you have a really old tank it may not have a bladder, some don't. And it is normal to add air in the tank to keep water pressure good.

So check out both things, be careful and mindful to keep the power off before working on the pressure switch. Take you time and be safe.

How do automatic sprinklers work?

It uses a programmed switch box that can be set to come off and on at certain times. The switch, when on, regulates electricity that shuts on/off valves to water. The sprinklers turn or operate from the water pressure itself. Some people have this system rigged to solar panels to use the sun's energy.

What should the psi be in a well mate 12?

Check the pressure switch at the bottom of the tank by removing the gray cover and looking at the sticker on the underside. The right pressure is 2 lbs under the cut in pressure which is the lower of the two. For example, if the sticker says 30/50 then the right psi would be 28. If it says 40/60 then the right pressure would be 38. you need to first empty the tank completely of water before checking air pressure in the tank. then fill the tank to the right psi and then turn the water on to the tank.

How many cup equal 500 ml of milk?

You cannot switch between volume and length, so the calculation cannot be done. You can switch milliliters to centiliters or liters, or you could switch between millimeters and centimeters but not from one to another.

How does a double pole switch work?

A switch is inserted in series with a single wire. When the switch is on, it is as if the wire had not been opened to insert the switch. When the switch is off the wire is open and no current can flow. All a double pole switch does is allows you to switch two separate wires at the same time with the same switch action. A single pole switch just switches one wire.

What is the difference between a normally open and a normally closed switch?

In switch language, open means to disconnect, or break the circuit. Some people call this "turned off". Closed, is to connect, or make the circuit. Some people call this turned on. In the case of a normally open switch, the switch is open (off) unless something takes action on the switch. Pushes a button for example, or holds a magnet near the switch, or other active force. A normally closed switch is closed (on) unless some force causes the switch to be opened.

Where is the low pressure AC switch on a 92 Celica?

TThe low pressure AC switch is a 3-way pressure switch in the low-side refrigerant line. It is open when the pressure is approximately below 27 psi and above 350 psi and closed when the pressures are in between.

Where is the tire pressure switch on the 2004 Highlander?

The tire pressure switch is located underneath the steering wheel, approximately by where your right knee would be while sitting in the driver seat. Although, there could be one on the steering wheel itself. The switch will have a picture of a tire on it, and has the word "Set" written on it.

A pressure switch reads pressure not level.

Where is the gas safety switch on 99 Pontiac grand prix gtp?

There is no safety switch that can be operated manually . The engine does however have a fuel cutoff switch integrated in to the oil pressure switch/sending unit that shuts off the fuel pump to protect the engine in case of loss of oil pressure.

What does an oil pump switch do?

I really have not heard the term oil pump switch. There is an oil pressure switch on some small engines that will shut the engine down if the oil pressure falls below a preset pressure. These are not installed on vehicles for safety reasons. You vehicle however has an oil pressure sending unit that keeps track of the oil pressure and will warn you of low oil pressure with a red light, or by way of a gage, or both.

How do you check if the low pressure switch on a corvette 1977 is working?

Of which low pressure switch are you speaking? Engine oil pressure switch? If you're checking that, remove the oil pressure sending unit and temporarily put in an oil pressure gauge. If you're checking the AC low pressure switch, pull the switch from the AC low pressure line, Jumper the switch socket and see if the AC compressor comes on. If it does, you either have low refrigerant pressure or a bad switch. If you KNOW the pressure is up and everything else works, you have a bad switch.

What is differential pressure switch?

A pressure differential switch, is a switch that reacts to pressure difference of two points, usually your supply & return side. If the pressure between these points are high, it then "reacts" notifying of pressure problem on the system.
