What unit is used to measure resistance

ohm

What is the voltage drop through a resistor of 6 ohms 2 amps

12 volts

A 5 ohm resistor a 10 ohm resistor and a 15 ohm resistor are connected in series to a 120 volt power source What is the amount of current flowing between the 5 ohm resistor and the 10 ohm resistor

It would be about 4 amps.

Two resistors are connected in series to a 9 volt battery The larger resistor provides twice as many ohms resistance as the smaller one The current through the circuit is 3 amps What is the resista

2

A string of 15 Christmas tree lights is connected in series to a 90 volt power source What is the value of the resistance of each light if the current flowing through the circuit is 2 amps

3
3 ohms

What is the equivalent resistance through the parallel portion of the circuit

six

What is the drawing of an electrical circuit called

"schematic diagram" or "schematic drawing"

How current passes through resistor.
  • What is the current running through resistor four?1 amps..!
  • What is the current running through resistor one? 3 amps...!
  • What is the current running through resistor three? 2amps..!
  • What is the current running through resistor five? 3 amps..!
  • What is the voltage drop running through resistor five? 45 volts...!
  • What is the equivalent resistance through the parallel portion of the circuit? 6 ohms

Answer

A resistor is a conductor, albeit one with a higher resistance than a length of wire, so current passes through it without any problem. The magnitude of the current will, of course, be somewhat lower because of the additional resistance.

The total current that flows through a circuit is the same as the current that flows through each individual parallel sub-circuit

True...!

A 120 ohm resistor a 60 ohm resistor and a 40 ohm resistor are connected in parallel to a 120 volt power source What is the current running through the 40 ohm resistor

3 amps

A string of 20 Christmas tree lights are connected in series to a 20 volt power source The bulbs each have a resistance of .5 ohm How much current is flowing through the circuit

2 amps. If it is D.C.

Five resistors are connected together in series One resistor is 2 ohms one is 3 ohms one is 4 ohms one is 5 ohms and the fifth is 6 ohms What is the total resistance

Purely additive. 2+3+4+5+6=20.

The total current that flows through a circuit is the same as the current that flows through each individual resistor connected in series

True

A 120 ohm resistor a 60 ohm resistor and a 40 ohm resistor are connected in parallel to a 120 volt power source What is the current running through the 120 ohm resistor

1amp

What is the current running through the entire circuit

3

Choose true or falseIf all the resistors in a parallel sub-circuit have the same value the total current can be found by multiplying the current by the number of resistors

False.

What is the current running through resistor four

I'm having some trouble focusing in on the schematic of the circuit.

What is the current running through resistor one

Three

What is the equivalent resistance through the entire circuit

30 ohms

A pulley system is used to lift a 2000 newton engine up a distance of 3 meters The operator must apply a force of 250 newtons to the chain of the pulley system to lift the motor To lift the engine fi

250 newtons

A 5 ohm resistor a 10 ohm resistor and a 15 ohm resistor are connected in a series to a 120 volt power source what is the amount of current flowing between the 5 ohm resistor and the 10 ohm resistor

The current would be about 20 volts.

What is the voltage drop running through the parallel potion of the circuit

A: There is no voltage drop running through in a parallel circuit but rather the voltage drop across each branch of a parallel circuit is the same

What is the voltage drop running through resistor two with 6 ohms

222155

What is the total current flowing through a 45 ohm resistor 1.4 amps and 20 ohm resistor 1.8 amps

Just add the amps (3.2 amps).
