"Critique" and "criticism" are often confused with each other.
"Critique" (more commonly known as "review") is the harsh judgment of a work that is reviewed by an audience other than the critic himself. The critique is often meant to influence the opinions of those who read the review.
A criticism is judgment that is often meant to help the creator of the work improve in a way so that is no longer reviewed in the same way. A criticism is most often made into a sort of conversation between the critic and the actual creator and is not meant for outside audiences to read it.
An analysis is completely separate of "critique" and "criticism". An analysis is the actual breakdown of the many parts of a work in order to gather information as to why or how the work was made and with what. An analysis rarely provides an opinion of the work. When it does, it is known instead as a critical analysis.
