Tampons and swimming?

You don't have to use tampons to swim while on your period. You can use menstrual cups and softcups for swimming, as well as safer than tampons cups can be worn with light flow which tampons can't, menstrual cups also don't leak like other options. You can also simply sit-out of swimming while you're on your period, it's up to you what you use and what you do on your period.

You can't use tampons but you have a swimming class every Monday and Wednesday what do you do please help?

You can use any of the following to swim on your period:Tampons.Soft tampons.Menstrual sponges.Menstrual cups.Diaphragms.Softcups.Menstrual cups are the best option as they're safer than tampons, this is also beneficial because unlike tampons they can be worn for up to 12 hours and even when your flow is light - thus no skipping swimming on days when your period is due or when flow is light. Menstrual cups don't increase cramps, absorb water, have anything showing externally like a string, and don't leak.If you can't use any internal menstrual products (listed above) then you simply can't swim on your period, all you do is let your teacher know that you're on your period and skip those lessons. You can't get into trouble for not being able to swim on your period, just do something else in that time.

Have field day at school tomorrow andsoo scared because have to go through a baby pool and have my period But too afraid to use tampons because of a bad experience I don't know what to do HELP?

Either don't go in the water or use another form of menstrual product. To swim you can use tampons, soft tampons, menstrual sponges, menstrual cups, diaphragms, or softcups.

Should you wear a tampon when receiving a massage though your period is not on?

No, tampons should only be used when you're on your period. Never use when not menstruating as this will be uncomfortable and potentially increase your risk of contracting Toxic Shock Syndrome. There's absolutely no reason to use tampons when not on your period, having a massage makes no difference: there's no reason why you should need to use tampons while having a massage.

What can you do to hide the period while you are swimming?

To swim during your period you would need to use internal menstrual products in order to stop the blood from getting in the water - although menstrual blood is no less hygienic than other vaginal fluids, no one wants to swim through your menstrual flow. You can use any of the following options:TamponsSoft tamponsMenstrual spongesDiaphragmsSoftcupsMenstrual cupsMenstrual cups are the best option as they're far safer than tampons, this also means that unlike tampons they are safe to use during light flow. Menstrual cups are also best as unlike tampons they don't increase cramps, absorb water, have anything showing externally, or leak like tampons, so best for swimming.

Do you still need a pad or tampon after you period?

No, tampons and pads (also other menstrual products) are only needed on your period.Once your period is over you no longer use tampons or pads, in fact as your period comes to an end you need to stop using tampons because tampons cannot be used with light flow or spotting. It is a good idea to carry tampons and pads with you ready for when your next period starts, if you're young menstrual cycles can be irregular so your periods can start suddenly without warning.
