I got some relief by drinking more water at night, eating oatmeal in the morning for breakfast and exercise. I still have some abdominal pain from constipation but I am able to go to the bathroom regular. Also I don't take a dose on Sundays and my system seems to clear out. I'm going to ask my doctor for a different medication.
I've been on Strattera for 3 weeks and I've only gone to the bathroom twice. It's severe and painful constipation to the point that it bleeds. Havent tried anything yet. If anyone knows the answer to this question please share it with us.
Strattera (atomoxetine) is not commonly associated with causing seizures. However, in rare cases, it may lower the seizure threshold, particularly in individuals with a history of seizures or certain medical conditions. It's important for anyone taking Strattera to discuss their medical history with their healthcare provider to assess any potential risks. If a patient experiences seizures while on Strattera, they should seek immediate medical attention.
I would consult your psychiatrist.
If you are not use to taking Strattera and especially if the drug is not prescribed for you, you will get high off of it. You should only take the drug under a doctor's direction.

Definately. When I was first put on Strattera, I noticed a huge difference in my energy level. I was fatigued and felt like I had no energy to do tough tasks. Don't worry though, after about a month, I quit experiencing this fatigue and was back to normal. I have been taking Strattera for 6 months now and for some time now have had no side effects from Strattera.

The use of any opiate can cause constipation. In fact, an old school remedy for diarrhea is to use an opiate to decrease diarrhea. Patients taking an opiate like morphine for more than a day should also take precautions against constipation. This includes: increased dietary fiber and mineral oil.
